Actually did you know the EUTE is quite an unique association
based on all the EU Countries under one banner and working
with independent European countries that have associations
and the smaller European groups that don't though need
a home for their events such as Andorra, Spain, Malta,
Belguim, Holland, Switzerland, Leitchenstein, Poland

Now speaking off associations - why not come to our
Beerfest hosted by the German Club or the French Ball
for Bastille Day. We have a number of events that will
make you feel at home. Just email us at: a4wdr@bigpond.com
in the subject box type: 'EUTE Functions request', then
in the content give us your name and email and when
you arrive into Darwin and we will see what event coincide
with your visit. Now there are numerous Asian cultural
events and food fairs as EUTE President: Mrs. Lea Aitken
is on the Multicultural Council. If there's no European
function on around that time there maybe another country's
function you would like to consider. This year the Indian
festival at Mindel Beach was absolutely fantastic as
they flew in famous dancers and singers and wow it was
Bollywood all over.
This
is our Darwin with over 64 cultures and known as one
of the most multicultural cities on this planet of ours.
Rich in European, Aboriginal and Asian living cultures
and history from food, clothes to our art - truely Darwin
is a very special palce and those who visit us go away
with a picture in their mind that reflects a magnificent
lifestyle.

objects and purposes of the Association are:

to bring together European community groups

to promote, encourage and teach European languages
and culture

to promote the celebration of European traditional
and cultural events

to raise awareness of Europe within the NT and the
NT within Europe and promote contacts and exchanges
between European nations and the NT.

of our members are involved int our tourism industry
here and if you need to know something please email
us. We always welcome you to our shores as Darwin is
truely a unique Captial city the size of a large town
situated on a small peninsula with a population of 100,000
folks. The Northern Territory our back yard would cover
many European countries put together so when we celebrate
we really enjoy ourselves.
