Indo Pacific Marine in Darwin

The Indo Pacific Marine Exhibition at the Wharf Precinct in Darwin. Established in 1971, as a private research project, Indo Pacific Marine is a privately funded marine environmental and educational resource centre. Indo Pacific Marine is at the international forefront in the development of closed, self sustaining marine ecosystems and has won 1 national award & 13 Territory awards in areas of; excellence in tourism, education and ecotourism.

Opening hours:
DRY SEASON (APR – OCT) 10am to 5pm
WET SEASON (NOV – MAR) 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 5pm Weekends and Public Holidays
>>> We are closed Christmas Day, New Years Day and Good Friday.

At last look the admission prices were as follows: Admission charges: Adults $18.00, Children (age 4-14) $8.00, Family (2 Adults, 2-3 Children) $44.00, Group discounts.
Indo Pacific Marine - Allow say one hour for the exhibition and another 1 hour to stroll down the wharf for lunch or a drink.

Just past the Indo Pacific Marine Exhibition - is the Jetty restuarant with it's buffet meals. It's a favourite of ours though get there as it open as they don't seem to take bookings.

Around 6.30pm is a good time to eat at the The Jetty and parking at the Jetty carpark is limited but there is parking further ahead on the wharf or back near the Australian Pearling Exhibition.
