NT General Store in Cavenagh Street next to the Darwin Post Office

NT General Store is truely on of a few Darwin Icon's left.It laid back service with pleasant darwinian staff is a refreshing change to still see. We actually buy all our book there and even though it can be a bit to find your way through so much stock it still a great place to shop. I asked the owner the hours the last week (nov 07) and he said 'Oh well around 8.30am till 5am and morning on Sat's'. I asked about a web site and well this is it hahaha but seriously great place and especially the carpark

(When you park the your car spot the land just for that one parking bay would be worth around the price of a small unit elsewhere) - see the pciture above. The chaps are so relaxed it's just great. There is a younf chap there now serving - we have found him to be excellent so try to say hi to him.

Oh what do the sell - Camping equipment, hiking equipment, exploring equipment, sleeping bags, tents, boots, backpacks, compass, travel books and more and more and more.

For the kids they have the Crocodile Dundee cutout - so pop your face thru the opening on the cutout and you an instant Crododile Dundee.

Prices are reasonable for Darwin and it's so easy to find.
