About Stuart Highway in Darwin Northern Territory Australia

The Stuart Highway, one of the longest highways in Australia, provides the premier road link between South Australia and Northern Territory. The Stuart Highway is one of Australia's major roadways, often referred to simply as The Track. The highway is named for John McDouall Stuart and the Stuart Highway is sealed bitumen all the way.

Where does Trower Road finish in Darwin Northern Territory Australia

Coming or going to Darwin CBD you enter Bagot Road at the overpass and it become Trower Road at Nightcliff through to Casuarina Shopping Centre and continues pass it (side road off the the Royal Darwin Public and private Hospital's) to Casuarina Beach (originally known as Casuarina Caves in the early days).

Daly Street and Daly Street Bridge (as we refer to it) in Darwin Northern Territory Australia

Daly Street is approx. 1.5klm long and at one end called the Daly Street Bridge commonly known as the bridge the starts Darwin CBD.

Daly Street which is located in Darwin City and did you know Daly Street actually is the continuation of The Esplanade in Darwin City and at the other end it is the commencement of the Stuart Highway - see map - also see the photo's below and the sign post.

There is not a lot of businesses actually situated on Daly Street nowdays more disused caryards, active car yardsand Harriet Place a clustter of shops including a small backpackers.

Bill's Reminising!!! This was actually the railway line bridge. The foundation of the track is still there but the lines were removed. See the phot's below -it just looks like a hump in the road.
