    Recreation Lagoon Open for Swimming

    The Darwin Waterfront Corporation advises that the Recreation Lagoon, including beach area is open for swimming.
    With two swimming lagoons the Wave Lagoon and the Recreation Lagoon, locals and tourists alike can truly embrace an endless summer.

    Wave Pool
    The wave pool is open daily from 10am - 6pm.
    (Good Friday - closed, Christmas Day - 2pm-6pm)
    There are full day of half day sessions available.
    Boogie boards and water tubes are included in the price.

    Session times are:
    Morning: 10am - 2pm
    Afternoon: 2pm - 6pm
    Full day: 10am - 6pm

    Adults (15yrs +) $7
    Family (2ad & 3 ch) $18
    Phoot's are taken from a distance to protect those swimming - sorry no close up photo's available.

    Recreation Lagoon
    A sea wall designed to protect the entire site from a 1:100 storm surge captures a permanent body of water providing for swimming and other water-based activities.
    Water is pumped in from the sea and the water quality is maintained through mechanical flushing and mixing.

    Parking
    A mix of free and paid parking is available at the Darwin Waterfront Precinct.
    Off-street parking is available on Stokes Hill Road and behind the Darwin Convention Centre.
    Undercover parking is available in the Darwin Convention Centre basement and in the multi-level carpark along Kitchener Drive.

    You can now walk from the Smith Street Mall down to the Skywalk at the end is an evelator to the gound and then walk over to the pools.
    It took around around 45 mins with around 20 photo's stops.
